    Please pray...we have had 8 dead so far....they ate now saying it will be over 9 feet in a 3 day period ...

    It has been....unreal

    Don't stress. It does zero good.

    Do what you can (that isn't just mental gymnastics). Make a note of what you could do next time. (like having decent first aid kit, a generator... etc.. ;) )

    I dont know what I would do besides make a fire inside. I would be stressing about my roof as well as snow is not light in those large amounts.

    Didn't these bands hit just specific spots, too? I heard yesterday (as of yesterday) that the airport in Buffalo had only received a few inches, but a few miles south it was piling in feet.

    I am guessing you don't have a snow rake. Do you own a 1 story or two story? If you can get the snow somewhat removed for the first few feet of the roof it won't dam and trap all the water up there. That way the water has a place to go. Use a broom or anything you can if safe and possible. Good luck.
