God...even the article was boring and based on a false premise "Glass ceiling has yet to be broken..." ??? Waahhhhhhh
There was an earlier post about salaries and earnings. That is what that post of kine was refering to Hoyt Maxxis 31 DG 84# 28,5" DL FMJ DG 250 @ 713gr @ 240ft/s
The earlier posts were about what league pulls in the most $ which is generally a pretty good indicator of popularity. The NFL makes more revenue than any other sports league in the World measured either in total or on a per team basis. Player salaries are actually a team expense....two different subjects.
Just for fun here is the most valuable franchise in the world in 2013. From Forbes, "Real Madrid can add one more trophy to its case: It is now the world’s most valuable sports franchise, worth $3.3 billion, surpassing former No. 1 Manchester United. Los Blancos have the highest revenues of any team in sports ($650 million during the 2011-12 season), and revenues are up 62% over the last three years. Madrid’s operating income (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization and player trading) of $134 million is second only to the NFL’s Dallas Cowboys among sports teams." Now I did some research and the NFL has almost all of there teams in the top 50 besides the rams and lions I believe. I think it is interesting that the barclays english premier league is the second most profitable league second to the NFL. Just looking at numbers there is really only one american football league, we can look at arena football but that is really not that big. But there are many many professional soccer leagues world wide. Including the MLS in america. I would say yes the NFL is the most profitable single league, but looking at the whole sport I would say that soccer worldwide brings in more money then any other sport.
