Cycling, Mens field hockey and then Baseball, its like the easy version of cricket which in itself is boring to watch.

What does a list of highest avg team salaries have to do with this conversation? BTW...football teams have a lot more players than other sports.
Nascar Golf...love to do it, hate to watch it For the life of me, I don't understand how anyone could hate watching hockey ... I am guessing those that hate it have never played it?
I agree, although some people think the same about NASCAR. Hockey is the only sport where I actually have to turn it off during the last 2 minutes if my team is up by one goal, I just can't watch it because I'll blow a blood vessel... . I actually pause it long enough to know the game is over and skip right to the end. I have did this more than once this year.
Try following the Blues and their epic collapses year after year . I watched probably 10 hockey games this year, thats the most I've ever watched. I don't understand all the rules (never played) and have a hard time following the puck.
That's probably true; but it is not necessary to have played it to be a fan...more accurately, those who "hate hockey" have probably never been to a live game. I freely admit that learning the game of hockey from TV is a bit intimidating; largely due to the speed of the game and the fact that camera angles being what they are, you can't see the ice along the near boards. You have to learn to watch where the puck is with one eye, with the other eye on what it is going on around the puck. That's hard to explain/learn just from TV. Once you learn that, you can see the game unfold almost before it happens, like the coach drawing up plays on a board. But if you go to one live game (even just to watch a good high school team) with someone who knows the game and can explain the basic offside/icing rules (very simple - similar to basketball and soccer,) I promise if you like competitive sports at all you WILL like hockey. It's the fastest, most competitive team sport in the world.
because 1) too easy and 2) it's a ginned-up league with no fan base which exists only as a tax write off I promise you if we are ever lucky enough to get to a flat tax and eliminate deductions (I can dream) the WNBA folds before the ink is dry on the bill.
To each his own - Just try not to be so naïve about it. A quick Google search - Some interesting facts: In Defense of the WNBA: An Interview with Monica Wright
I think we are talking about major sports. I would agree the WNBA is too irrelevant to be part of the conversation IMO. I don't even know a person who watches it?
I agree that it isn't a MAJOR sport but it is still relevant. The article points out a few good points in regards to attendance, etc. Hell, I watched a game or two when the Lynx were in the playoffs.... IMO I feel it should count if we are mentioning things such as curling, etc. With that - I vote the WNBA. Slow play, no dunks, and generally low scoring.
GOLF.........my reason? Look at the pants these guys wear!!!! I guess the pants have to match the activity?
