over 20 hunters per square mile...that's insane. I'm all about growing our sport, but you can't safely fit any more hunters up in there. I think ya'll need to annex WV or something. You need more space.

15.1 hunters per square mile in NY, I prolly had all of that around me last Saturday for sure. I`m all for growing the sport too, but wow.

Couple of surprises on this list but New York and the New England states don't surprise me at all ...they are all terrible. Higher Hunter densities, poor soil, horrible long gun seasons during the rut, General mismanage by out fish and game institutions ..

    They suck.

For sure, the only way to get a good enjoyable hunt is to travel to the Midwest.

15 - 20 hunters per square mile... ah I remember public land like that in illinois.

The hunters can get a bit thick out here too. There are only a few roads going up into the mountains and they get pretty busy. At least out here you can hike away from most of the other hunters.

Seems about half the hunters are locals and the other half are from the bigger cities up north or from California and nevada.

The population density of my county is only 2 people per square mile. :)

Up here in NB we get 1 tag per season, I don't think that's changed as long as I can remember.

And we have a solid deer population, we have the suckers running around in town all the time

That's not exactly what the law says. PA has two different zones. Most of the state is 3 point to a side INCLUDING brows, while some western parts of the state are 4 points to a side INCLUDING brows.

Antler restrictions weren't put in to help the population. They were put in to limit the harvest of immature bucks.

Well...1B is "Three Up" not including brow tine. Pennsylvania Hunting & Trapping Digest 2014-2015

I didn't mean "population" as in the number of deer - I meant the restriction allows for smaller deer to be spared a bit more. Poor wording on my behalf, perhaps.
