Worst hunting advice you have received?

"Shoot them in the neck". I couldn't tell you how many times I've heard that said.

 

"Bucket bears..."

The first time I went bear hunting a "buddy" gave me a hard time about hunting over bait because it is so simple its not really hunting...just pick out the one you like and take him home. I then spent 4-1/2 days in 90 deg heat wondering of I was too picky that first morning.

Lessons learned: Your not going to beat their nose. They circle the bait and will know your there.

Arrows can penetrate bullet proof vests so bowhunters don't have to worry about much. Good thing I was thinking about picking up some fixed blades

 

I hear that everyday during whitetail season. Gets old quick.
