Hmm. So far the only one of these that I've seen is the first Hunger Games movie. Which I kind of liked. (tho' it didn't do justice to the dystopian world of the book) I really disliked A River Runs Through It. I'm not sure that counts as a chic flick. Edit... Thought of another one. I saw Thelma and Louise and didn't like it. If I were going to drive off the Grand Canyon, there'd be quite a few other people I'd take out first.
I didn't think The Hunger Games was THAT bad. It definitely didn't do the book justice but it wasn't what I would consider horrible. Beaches was absolutely horrible. I was already pissed for having to watch it because I owed my then GF a chick flick, but when that one was over, I was friggen IRATE!! If you're gonna make me watch a chick flick, at least pick something watchable!!! She, at least, agreed with me that it was a horrible excuse for a movie and even chicks shouldn't wanna claim that one! One chick flick I was fooled into watching was For Love of the Game. I should've known something was up when I saw that Kevin Costner was in it. It's basically a chick flick wearing a baseball uniform. At least it wasn't as horrible as I expected it to be but be warned in case any chick tries to get you to watch it, it is DEFINITELY a chick flick.
Hunger Games is not a "chick flick". Just because there is a chick in it doesn't make it a "chick flick". Bridges of Madison County The Notebook Bridgett Jones' Diary Beaches Terms of Endearment I'll admit I never saw Bridges of Madison County
