Well that sucked.... Terrible fundamentals by Pujols. No way Andrus should of been allowed to advance to 2nd. Great baserunning by the Rangers though. I think the Rangers will take the next 2. Loshe and Jackson are just not cut out to pitch in Arlington.
The Cards were one of the better road teams this year, so I think they'll steal one on the road. Their lineup can keep up with the Rangers, plus Craig will get regular playing time, so the DH rule shouldn't hurt them. My bet is he bats 2nd with the 3 lefties on the mound. Texas is definantly in the drivers seat of the series IMO.
Just got done checking Loshe'a and Jackson's stats at Texas. Lohse is dreadful there. In 6 games he is 3-2 with a 6.75 ERA in 28 innings. Jackson has faired pretty well though. In 4 starts he is only 1-2, but in 27 innings he has a 3.25 ERA, including a complete game shutout. They will just have to keep the ball down against that Texas lineup.
I was wondering if some of u cards were going to get this thread going again.....especially after that bomb.
Probably going to go down as one of the worst calls in MLB. Though, did we sure take advantage of that momentum.
Thanks, but I amon stand-by at work, so I'm just watching the game. Have to work again tomorrow. Hunting Tues, Wed, Thurs. 14-6, go birds!
You're not kidding. I bet Texas is a bit shaken tonight. To lose by 9 runs in game three... huge! Pujols making history as one of 3 players to hit 3 Homeruns in one WS game. Freese making a NL hit streak record. A few rediculous calls by the umpires (especially the guy on first). This is a game that will be remembered, for several reasons. What a game! I bet cards shut the rangers out at home and they take it in 5!
Tonight is a must win for the Rangers. Jackson has his times when he gets fastball friendly, and if he starts leaving them up in the zone he will get hurt tonight.
Let's hope it was happier than the last one.. Can't wait to watch tonight's game. Cards win, I think the series is over.
