This is kinda a neat WS for me...in a nerdy way.

Bumgarner pitched for a HS we beat in the state playoffs in HS. (He wasn't in HS yet)

Greg Holland was a walk-on closer for my college my senior year.

    So two kinda local guys...

    Pulling for KC though.

Tonight my hunch started to play out... REALLY pulling for the Royals but I fear the Giants take it in 5 or 6.

That's an awesome clip! I met him, Ogre, (real name is Donald Gibb) walking through a casino in Lake Tahoe when I was a kid. I hadn't see Revenge of the Nerds but he played Dr. Death on an HBO football show at the time. Can't remember the name of it. Pretty cool guy though.

I'm pulling for the Royals myself but feel the Giants will win this in 6 games.

Well, Shields sucked last night. Even the outs were loud. I don't know if he has just hit the wall physically or if the moment was too big for him. If we can win tonight, I still like out chances.

Statistically Shields is our worst pitcher. Makes me really question Yost when Duffy threw that many innings. Hope Ventura can throw lights out tonight. We need it.

Hope the royals come back... One thing. Hunter Pence has come a long way since his days as Marv in Home Alone.

Shields hasn't impressed me at all. I keep reading that some team will pay him 18-20 mill a year in free agency. I don't see him as that kind of pitcher?

Well, he was much better for the first 3/4 of the season, but I think he's hitting the wall. Since 2007, he's pitched more innings than any other pitcher and he has thrown more pitches this year than any other pitcher.

Here's a little article talking about him.
    What's Up With James Shields?

I love me some game 7 world series baseball! Should be a good one tonight. I hope the Royals didn't empty the tank with last nights performance.

Me too, but I don't think they did. I think that win has to be a confidence booster!

    Lets go Royals!!!!!!!!!!

Shields has never been a good postseason pitcher. His nickname, "Big Game", is completely unwarranted.

Nothing better than Game 7, World Series baseball!

Oh my gosh. Joe wouldn't stop yacking about bumb hole even when he wasn't pitching. Made me want to gag. We know he is a real good player!

    Real good?

Bumgarner may have just put on the best world series performance ever. 270+ pitches and 3-0 is in the great category. Not good category. Lol

    Let's not forget

21 innings pitched and 1 run allowed. That's not good or real good. That's freaking amazing so any accolades Buck gave him was more than diserved.
