Nebraska set up a volleyball court in their football stadium and had a total attendance of 92,003. As a volleyball player/fan and Nebraska resident I watched, it was pretty freaking cool. As I'm watching and on TV they are interviewing everyone "its such a big day for volleyball but also women's sports in general" and my wife who is not watching walks by and says "but all football games at Michigan could be women's sports if they just say so" - Michigan's Big House can and does regularly hold in excess of 100,000 Michigan/Penn State please just claim at your first football home game that you broke the womens sports attendance record by simply claiming the 180 men on the side lines (90'ish each team) are women. https://huskers.com/news/2023/08/30/volleyball-day-in-nebraska
That is so cool! As a Husker fan that used to live in Lincoln for 13 years, this is pretty awesome. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
