there is nothing under the trees, the canopy pretty much had everything under not growing. I already raked out the area and am going to lime as soon as this weather is gone then plant it a couple weeks later, throwing fertilizer out afterwards.

since there is no fields next to this property and i only saw 2 turkeys all deer season, would you waste your money hunting turkeys on this property. i am always looking to do more hunting but i dont know if this piece of property is worth wasting money on.

Don't know why, it seems I'm the one that replies to this thread the most....hopefully some others will give their opinions so you get more than one POV.
I don't really have enough info to make a judgement on it for turkey hunting but if you saw two during deer season then it's safe to assume there are a few in the area. I'd probably hunt it a few times during this season and see what happens but for sure see how the food plot improvement affects the turkey usage over summer and fall. If there are any around they will probably use the food plot along with the deer. May not help the hunting this spring but it may well help by the fall season.

It is always best to till. But some of the throw and grows are ok.

I like a clover mix with some fall annuals in it. The clover regrows in spring. Come August you rip it out and replant. Once per year is enough for me.

the seed i have is throw n grow radish extreme, is this ok to plant in spring? i know the radishes are for the later months but i was advised to plant in the spring so deer will get used to coming to the plot. And if its ok to plant how do i go about getting it all out in august when i want to plant for the fall?

I would say the radish will grow, but they wont eat them. Need frost. Then again, I never had luck with them.

You would likely have to dig them out.

but do you see any benefits of planting that seed blend in the spring or just waiting til the fall. i just want to have the best plot for what im working with. most of everything has been done by hand, i have a tiller attachment for my weedeater but it doesnt till like a walk behind.
