Haha, I'm glad that I don't have to give a report on the amount of hunting videos I watch or time spent on this forum...
Exactly! I'm glad my boss is a tree hugger and doesn't hunt. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums

I haven’t really hit a lick all week. I’ve physically been at work, but not mentally. Just zoning out, waiting on Sunday.
Shot a wedding last Saturday and couldn't wait for the reception to look at the live from the stand thread. Have another Friday which is 2 days before our opener. Hoping I can capture what is expected-I'm not going to be there in my mind!
One benefit of being in real estate. Yesterday I was checking camera's and hung a new lock on between emails and phone calls.
Being self employed & make my own schedule, I get ABSOLUTELY nothing done!! My opener is Saturday & can’t wait. About to go shoot a little right now!! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Just finished a major project last Tuesday for a customer in Brazil that I have been working on for about 3 months. Year to year, my productivity usually goes down a little bit right around this time of the year but after finishing that project, I have had absolutely no motivation to do much of any work. It can be summed up by this equation: Insane amount of work -> Basically No work + Season Opener = The Perfect Storm for Procrastination!
lol all me and a buddy have been talking about at work this week is getting things together and put on the check list for the deer camp for this week's opener.
I am excited about the opener just for the simple fact that the season will have started. It's not about going out on opening day and putting something on the ground. It's all about just getting out in the stand for that first time. It's about just having the option to go hunt if you want to.
EXACTLY. I don't plan on really hunting any of my target bucks for at least a few weeks. But it's nice just to get in the woods with bow in hand and feel that feeling again.
I'm barely meeting deadlines and every morning I drive in I'm looking longingly at fields as I pass. My season opened the 15th, and yeah I've been out for 3 evening sits. I'm not hunting hard yet, but it is epic to get out and enjoy the view. Work is more of a nuisance at the moment, and I am constantly plotting ways to dodge it. For all you who are still waiting, it's right around the corner! Best of luck out there and enjoy it!
Season here started a couple weeks ago, but my first time out will be Saturday evening because its been like 100 degrees for the past 3 weeks. Pretty excited to say the least.
My problem is that hunting season actually falls during my busiest time of year.. it's brutal... This week is dragging on very slowly since I start this weekend... but I would say I have been very productive.. but it's hell...
Spend all night at work on hunting forums and watching videos lol. Me and my buddy who works 1st shift in our position were just talking about how we are "done" doing much work at all until after hunting season haha. The other 2 guys are gonna have to pick up the slack. We are both out for 2 weeks come end of October for a hunt in Nebraska, so needless to say we are basically zoned out waiting for the 27th to roll in so we can hit the highway headed west!
