Nothing like having a huge cold front and watching deer chase each other on your way to work ugh! Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
Ha ha that has all happened to me too today. I watched 2 chasing on the way to work and already two friends have shot beautiful bucks this morning! I sit here at work...
Still working on running enough network cabling to my tree so I can work remotely from the stand. Going to have to get busy tonight getting the warm cloths washed and ready for some local hunting tomorrow as my daughter has another obligation so I can't get up North with her.
Work has been nearly unbearable lately, but this morning's hunt in windy 20 degree weather without seeing deer wasn't exactly peachy, either. I'm thinking about taking up knitting.
I am blessed to have a job that fuels me fianacially that I am able to hunt, but I do agree, I wish I was in the woods
Yupp. Typically average around that 14 + hour days from middle of September to middle of November unless it rains or snows.
Working out of town is worse, I was sitting in an airport waiting to fly home and my wife is telling me about the bucks walking down the driveway.
At least it was just the little 6 point with 1 side broken off, at least she didn't call and say there are a dozen does in the yard, when there is a group of does in the yard you know they are getting chased.
Been trying to retire, but there's always a wedding, home repair. new car payment, cottage, property...etc... that keeps putting it off. Been paying taxes since I was 15 (now 53), been working since age 12. S o jealous of the guys that have Oct/Nov all to themselves - seems like I'll never get there.
The greatest thing of working for yourself. You get to make your own schedule!! Make schedule is usually made according to the weather!! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
