As much as I love bowhunting the month of Dec, I am already looking forward to scouring the mountains and picking up sheds here in Idaho, Wa and Montana... anybody else getting excited for the upcoming shed hunting season? I know I am!

I'm looking forward to it as well! Gotta love being able to walk through the woods without worrying about spooking deer and ruining your hunting. Finding big sheds is a bonus :tu:

I need it to get a little bit colder for the swamp to freeze at one of my spots. I plan to go scout out some of the bucks and see if they've dropped anything as soon as I get a chance. I've found sheds on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day before so I'm pumped!

    Knock it off !!!!!

I need to stay focused on hunting... not looking at the ground. I have been looking at the ground lately though... dammit !! Once shedding gets in your blood there is no cure.

Good luck to all when the bone hits the ground !!

Is Feb. to early to start hunting sheds in KS? This will be my first time. I figured it would be a really fun family activity. I'll be taking my 4 & 6 year olds sons along.

I'm with you guys, I got the fever already. I have obtain 2 new hunting areas this year and while looking for places to put stands I have already found 12 sheds and 3 dead heads from last year. I hope it goes this good the rest of the year.

My brother-in-law shot a buck last week that shed both sides already. I also heard of a guy finding 3 sheds over the weekend. This is in Wisconsin.

oh yeah if i wasn't still hunting, i'd be shed hunting right now.. no snow on the ground and even if I didn't find any new fresh sheds I'd be looking for last years.. soon the snows will come and make it tougher.. normally the snow is already here, I am seriously thinking about shed hunting/scouting during the middays this week between bow hunts..rarely do we ever NOT have snow this time of year.. but like I said its coming!
