This is my wife's first year hunting. She shoots a Mission Craze set @ 25" DL and 40lbs. I weighed her arrows and they are 367 grains. Is that too light of arrow for penetration on a whitetail? Her maximum effective range for accuracy is 20yds.
My son is shooting a Mission Hammr.. 42# and 22.5" draw. he has gold tip 500s that come in at 326 gr. with a 100 gr 2 blade magnus stinger. Everything I read and heard on here says he's good to go within 20 yds or less if he makes a good shot. Hell I shoot 61# at 27 draw and my arrows only weigh 376 and I have not had an issue with rage 2 blade on the deer I have shot with this set up. so I would say she has plenty maybe even go a touch lighter if you want more speed but I think she's fine where she is
Good to hear! I know she can make a good shot, I just want to make sure it does the job because the last thing I want is for her to have a bad experience with the first kill and not want to go out again.
