i marvel at large animals such as these. it would be a treat to watch them for a while. i do however sympathize with farmers and the like whos livestock are hammered each year. but to watch a mountian lion or a bear take down a deer or other animal is pretty awesome! would have mixed emotions shooting a wolf cause not really sure how i'd mount the sucker. i think deff i'd full body mount a big cat though. guess the same with the wolf, i just havent seen one this big mounted before. nothing but yotes is what i've seen. and the next question begs i really dont shoot/hunt anything i cant eat...........

How much do you think the wolves in those pictures weigh, Troy?

Reason I ask is we have a 140lb. German Shepherd and those pictures of the wolves would dwarf our shepherd.

I found a different but similar picture of a smaller wolf than these with the following caption.

Idaho is enjoying their first wolf season, but reports of a 197 to 230 pound wolf tagged in Sun Valley, Idaho are false, say Idaho Department of Fish and Game Officials.
Todd Grim, spokesman for Idaho DFG, says that he first saw the picture in 2009, but it went viral again after a woman posted it on her Facebook page.

According to the Idaho Mountain Express, no one within the Idaho DFG thinks this photo was even taken in Idaho. They also have never had a wolf larger than 135 pounds in Idaho. So, don't be looking for this guy's brother in the woods this season. --

I just finished reading and old time book called The Wolf Man, or Alaskas Wolf Man. Some of the accounts in there on how fast a wolf can do in a deer, or moose or caribou are amazing. There teeth are wicked sharp and deadly. If I lived in wolf country I think I'd just have to whack everyone I saw.
