Hiked into the S40 today - first check since Jan 19th....it took it's last 3 pics of me when batts died as I walked up so perfect timing I guess ....the 6 mile hike(3/4 mile on the snowshoes) with pack, gun, and snowshoes over the shoulder was definitely worth it but I am gonna be sore tomorrow. Saw 4 eagles at least and maybe five...quite a few deer and the biggest fisher tracks I have ever come across - and I have seen some BiG fisher. S40 out north at the deer yard small fisher little sequence starts at 6:07pm 1st wolf...6:14 2nd...6:16 for comparison another wolf - different day crop Fs5 at home crop black squirrel(actually pretty common round here - some years 50/50 with grays) deep snow tough going on the deer - why they are not aplenty round here(yotes have killed at least 4 in last 2 weeks since they showed up...including the twin to the yearling here -all on just the south 60acres that I found - sure there is more)
my brother says the 4th and 5th pictures are of a coyote but i dont think so, i say its deffinetly a wolf, why would a yote be following 2 mins behind a wolf? not gonna happen what do u think?
Wow What clarity, nothing like gettiing out the snowshoes and making trail huh! Better if you had another person with you so they can break trail,LOL. Not going to happen unless your training someone on the what to and what not to do's. Love the stoppage on your camera, creates a great picture and clearness in stopping the snow flakes for a crisp picture! Best pictures I've seen to date of this site. Just my veiw! Rocky
