http://www.nbcmontana.com/news/28758626/detail.html Judge Molloy ruled tonight that the Montana and Idaho wolfs hunts will be going forward. I am excited to see if conservation can prove itself on this one. I'm honestly sick of all the anti wolf feelings. Yes they have impacted animal herds, and yes they have undoubtedly hurt hunting, but it's natural for them. I'm more mad at the fact that we let their population get so out of control. A better plan needed to be in place. Predators eat meat and predators hunt.
Another major thing that a lot of people don't realize is they introduced a non-native strain of wolf....the Canadian Grey wolf. The Canadian wolves are much larger and much more efficient at killing. So, even though I don't live out there, kill em all.
Alother blunder is not having everything in the court system figured out before the reintroduction even starts. Once a population goal is met there is no reason for it to be tied up in the court system for years and years as it grows out of control. Hope our government learns from its mistakes, but I doubt it ever will.
I was wondering when your wolf loving rear was going to show up! The western wolf problem is a totally different game than what you and I have experienced. My feelings towards wolves in MN and Ontario is totally different than what it is out west.
