I am sure this post will have less interest that soccer but something has to be said. The WNBA is growing but it is becoming a crap show. The quality of referees sucks, they are not in control of the games. The cattyness is another issue I can't relate to but in one week a player has her wig rigged off and she runs to the locker room like she tore her pants wide open, the refs tossed fans that mocked the situation and then throwing sex toys on the court and again the refs did not stop play. The WNBA is like the Springer Show.
Wrote it off a long time ago. Nothing but trash. Angel Reese has made a ton of $$$$ off endorsements but can't pay her rent of $8K a month on her WNBA salary. Poor baby.
Was never interested until the Caitlin Clark hype. Watched the 2024 draft and most Indiana Fever games since, plus the 2025 draft. My takeaway, if you want to see racism in sports, watch WNBA. They hate Clark with all of their being, they are the most vile of women that compete in sports it is almost sickening. Actually, it is sickening. Clark could start her own leaugue, not because she is white, but because she can play ball and has fanfare. Ice Cube tried to sign her for a way bigger payday then she got in the WNBA but she opted for the lesser option only to be spit on and hard fouled her first 2 seasons. Women in sports have got to be the most angry and volatile figures in sports, they are vile beings in their profession.
Reese is a top mebounder in the league. She sees her own shot miss and grabs the mebound at least 4-12 times a game. She hates herself as much as she hates Clark, yet can't progress as a player. WNBA players make their living on endorsements, not salary from a team. The NBA(Mens league) funds the WNBA at a loss every year.
I'm going to just say it I'm sick of the racist BS against the white players. They want a all blk. league , Great have at it. Caitlin, Sophie leave and start your own league. I believe you just may have NBA legends from both races that would back you. Everyone is sick of these catty nasty WNBA b...ouches
Basketball as a whole has been in a slow decline since Jordan retired and stay retired. The WNBA is the biggest joke in professional sports, not all female athletes are like that, just the majority of the league. It is unwatchable, give it another season or two, it will fold on itself without drastic changes. Still won't watch even if the league does change, hate seeing it take up time on ESPN. ESPN is unwatchable, in large part to this.
The women of the WNBA are a bunch of trash. They way they play against Clark illustrates their hate for because she is white. I wouldn't want my daughters to idolize the players. They don't know how to be role models.
