Each have pros and cons. I have shot a Whisker biscuit and a Ripcord Code Red. I didn't like the way the WB brushes your fletching as it goes through because it is a longer period (by milliseconds) that you can affect the shot. My WB would also make noise when i drew back in colder weather.

I switched to the CR to avoid this fletching contact to allow me to shoot a 4 degree offset with 4" duravanes. The CR has been silent every draw (probably close to about 700 shots but none in colder weather). There has been no fletching contact in any way shape or form on any part of the rest. And one bonus is the CR is a full containment drop away.

There are numerous people that love the Apache drop away, i personally have never shot it but like the price tag. I will let one of them give you pros and cons on it.

I was deciding whether or not to get a Ripcord or an Apache. I decided to go with the Apache for 2 reasons, the price tag and the equally good reviews as the Ripcord. I've only shot about 50 arrows through it but so far so I can't really say to much about it but from what i've seen already I really like it and am glad I went with it.

Please do your self a huge favor and don't buy a WB. My brother bought one and it has tore his veins all to crap. He switched from 4" fletched arrows to veins thinking they would last longer and they did but, not much longer. Not to mention it is noisy. You can definitely hear your veins smack the whiskers. Great for hunting if the deer you are shooting at is deaf. It is accurate, I'll give it that and your arrow will never fall out even in a quick draw situation but, a drop away is the best thing out right now. We are both ordering Apache's in a couple weeks and I can't wait to get mine installed.

No matter what I tried with the WB, I had to refletch my arrows at least once every couple of months. I moved to a hitman and it still happens occasionally.

After the new bow gets bought this year, it's either getting an apache or code red.

I have shot whisker biscuit for years and love it. I shoot blazer vanes and never have to refletch and mine makes no noticeable sound. I have shot many many deer and haven't had one jump the string yet. I am old school but I will admit the drop aways have me interested. Let us know what you decide.

I had a whisker bisquit for 2 years and I never had an issue with it destroying my vanes, 2" blazers. The main reasons I switched to the Apache were because of the easy adjustability, no noise, and the price tag.

I have shot the wisker bisket & heep whe I first started archery ages ago.. there great! could group arrows in a tennis ball from 30 yard all day long.

The downside to wisker bisket is that you can't tourqu the bow at all during the shot as the rest is in constant contact with the arrow, another thing is helical fletching dose not go through it too well I found, stuffes the brushes & destroys fletching.

I currently use the Code Red & love it just as much, the only better things I have noticed is I can shoot a helical vane & it makes the bow slightly more forgiving.

There both great but would go with a drop away at the end of the day :)

    WB

Have been using WB for years but Poorfish is having a 20% sale off of the $61.99 price tag on the NAP Apache drop away arrow rest so it puts it at around $49.00 plus shipping. It is on its way.www.poorfish.com:nana:

I have shot a WB for a few years now and really like it. I have neve shot a drop away, so I can't give you any comparisons. I will say that I have never had any issues with noise. I have 2" blazers, and they will start to look a little warped by the end of the year. I have seen 4" vanes get tore up, but the guy that was shooting them, was letting the vanes pass through the really stiff bristles at the bottom of the rest. You have to make sure that your vanes do not go through the black whiskers at the bottom of the rest.

If I did a lot of target shooting I would probably be tempted to switch, but for hunting and a small amount of target shooting I do I love the WB.
