I live in Appleton and hunt Calumet, Manitowoc, and Richland counties.
Hunt in Waukesha and Adams county. (Unfortunately, it's all public land )
Who plans to hunt opening weekend?
Shawano County and definitely hunting opening weekend.
Definitely hunting opening weekend. Hopefully get a doe in the morning and maybe a buck in the evening
Opening weekend... Pepin County! Can't beat it. Weather looks awesome! GOOD LUCK everyone!
Neal where in Pepin County are you hunting? I also hunt Pepin County! My dad will be down this weekend but I have baseball so I cannot.
We will be out opening morning... Weather looks awesome, hopefully it won't be raining... Are you guys noticing a change in the bucks pattern?

Im noticing a change in nit only the bucks but the doe also
Velvet is off pretty much all the bucks I have seen recently, and I think the deer are spending most of the day in the corn
Live in Winneconne. Hunt our 80 in Tigerton, Shawano County. Dont have a huge shooters on camera yet. Got alot of mature does and nice two year olds. They are lighting up the cameras and demolishing our food plots. I have to work overtime saturday morning but I will be headed to the cabin when I get out at noon.

Agree, beans are turning brown fast. Deer are switching over to corn and acorns, moving into their fall range. Exciting times, been seeing some good bucks glassing, just need to get this party started!
I'll be out for sure tomorrow morning!! So pumped!! Looks to be a PERFECT morning to be in a tree!
Not able to make it out this morning for opening day. I plan on living vicariously through those who did. How did it go, gents?
Polk, La Crosse, Trep
Took an 8 pointer opening day after sitting 3 hours. First bow buck. Very happy!
Saw nothing that first day out. I'll be getting back out there this weekend for sure. I'll probably do both a morning and evening sit if the weather agrees. We're supposed to get some rain Saturday evening so I'll be keeping an eye on that.
Congrats, Nissen!!! Shock, do you have any targets for this season or just will settle for choosing what comes across? Since I hunt mostly public land, the only choice I really have is to take what I can get. I'm fine with it, since all I'm looking for is meat. Good luck!
Live in Eau Claire. Hunt the surrounding area. Mostly Eau Claire, Buffalo, Chippewa county.
