I hope so, up north after just being there I was worried! I guess it does some like a switch gets turned on and in no time the rut is in high gear. With the weather continuing to be cold I think I will be alright being there 4-12. But usually around this time scrapes are coming into full force, I hope it gets going soon.

I was out this weekend and saw only 2 does, after sitting I decided to do searching and found a few rubs and scrapes. I decided to make a mock scrape, and by the next morning it was hit hard.

Well, I finished up my hunt this weekend with a big fat zero as far as bringing any down. I did see a nice big bodied buck, but the booger stayed just inside the tree line and made very sure that there was enough brush and trees between me and him, where I didnt get a shot at him. I could tell he had horns, but he was too conealed for me to see how big a rack he had.
My son on the other hand got to see and take a shot at his first buck, and undershot so no venison there either.
I'll be spending the rest of my season hunting out in Burlington, on a friends property. So the season isnt completely done for me yet...

It has been a very diffcult year been getting out when I can .Between work and thing's going wrong at home . I hunt Lincoln County and so far not many deer sighting's . I think I have about 8-10 deer in my area by what I seen on my camera's some bucks but no shooters to date .Deer have been real nervous that I did see . I hunt from ladder stand's and throwing that around in my mind that the deer know when something isn't right going to try some different avenue's see if that work's . Very Perplexed. Good Luck and hunt safe.

I was recently on a public land archery hunt in western South Dakota. I ran into two different groups of Wisconsin guys for a total of nine hunters.

Were any of you recently in Bonesteel, SD chasing deer? Both groups I talked to were pretty frustrated with the hunting.

On a side note, I ran into zero South Dakota hunters that weekend. What's up with you fellas heading all the way over here? :)

Heading down to the farm in Buffalo Co Saturday for a quick evening sit. Then back down next Tuesday - Sunday. From what I've heard it should be good. Good luck to everyone getting out this weekend. This is the best time of year.

I will be out bowhunting for the first time in 2 years Nov. 1, 2, 3 in peshtigo, WI. I can't wait. Was up several weeks ago getting the path to my stand cleared out and clearing the overgrowth in my lanes. Saw lots of tracks and droppings. Hoping for a good weekend

Another one hit the dirt this morning at my uncles! That's 3 deer in 4 days! Neighbor also said things are heating up where we hunt! If I still have a tag left after Monday night I think I could take a day or two off next week as finals are over.
