I hunted for 10 days straight in WI and didn't lay my eyes on any rut activity at all. Also didn't see a shooter either. Did anyone else in Wisconsin have a good week or was it slow every where in here?
Hunted this weekend saw six bucks 2 shooters very aggressive behavior and lots of rubs/scrapes I'm in central Wisconsin.
This year hasn't been the most visible rut ever but I've seen rutting activity but far less rubs and scrapes than years past
South eastern part of Wi I seen the most action the week of Oct 26th. Got my buck on the 27th which was a full moon. (2nd full moon of the fall) Everything died down last week.
Had several trail cam pics of does in heat (walking with their tails straight back) the week of the 26th. Saw most buck movement then. Didn't see a deer all week this past week. Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
I hunted from Oct 30th-November 9th from dark to dark and saw a ridiculous amount of 1 1/2 year old bucks. On Friday November 6th saw 30 deer when the cold front came in, nearly all in bow range, 12 bucks and 18 does and fawns. Not one 2 1/2 year old or older all week.
I saw nothing on the public marshes yesterday. old rubs. tried walking into the open marsh. I don't like walking in there. not gonna do that again.
Been sitting alot this year and the last month to 3 weeks had my does disappear.... have 2 small 1 1/2 year olds hanging near one spot a groundblind is set so idk if they harassed the does out but everything has been dead... trying a hay field i neglected the last month to see if i can get one out in this wind from the river bottom...im in central wi outside wausau
Saw a decent sized buck chasing a hot doe at 9am on Saturday morning. Otherwise that has been it for me in WI. I hear reports of hunters nearby seeing tons of activity, so there is still hope. Any one going to hunt the rifle season this year?
