Been real good action. Passed 4 mature sure kills in 5 days. 64 bucks sighted. Officially scored my Son's second book buck@143 2/8. My buddy just dumped this toad. 6.5 yo, mainframe 10, 15 scoreable points. 165 gross. After my 4 year campaign to have him stop shooting expandables He now agrees. Took out one lung on a bone deflection, into guts. 22 inches of penetration. 4 drops of blood. 4 guys for 4 hours and they stumbled over him 300 yards from the hit by pure luck. Mainframe 10, 15 scorable points, 6.5yo, 6 miles from St. Point. He now has sworn off all expandables for life including the hypodumbic. Any fixed blade would have blown thru and made a nice low drain hole for tracking.
I have buddies that ran into the same issues with the expandables...Back to Muzzy fixed with NO issues..Anyhow, great buck!! I dont need your GPS coordinates, but roughly what area are you in?? Rut reports are flying in, but there scattered depending on where you are located..Thanks
62b, my stomping grounds. i let a shooter go each of the last two nights, but thats alot easier when you shot your buck a month ago.lol
Talk about a slob knocker! Great buck! Glad to hear the rut's heating up over by you, hoping to see some chasing this weekend!
I hunted 11/1 thru 11/9, 71 hours in tree, till I ran myself into the ground, migraine, ect. Passed a ton of bucks, 3 would make book barely. Racks are smaller this year imo, more bears. I did get my new t/c triumph bone collector ml sighted in. 80 grains of buckhorn 209, 300 grain pill. zero@ 50 and 125, 10 inches low@200. Sweet gun and trigger. These trailcam pics were from Sunday when I was flying over Denver. Check out the photo bomb shot in the upper left hand corner of the first pic. My buddy in Point had wolves move in and clear his place out Sat. Great week. 11 days till gun season.
