Based on this, I'm thinking the (reported) deer kill numbers will be down unless the bar will call-in to register the customer's deer!!
I have a question on this and I've talked to a couple people now and haven't confirmed it with the DNR. Does anyone know if to shoot a coyote with bow in Wisconsin, do I only need an archery license or will I also need a small games license?
Taken from the top of page 10 of the rule book. • Archer License: Allows hunting with a bow and arrow only for deer during the archery deer season and for small game during a small game season. So yes, I believe you can shoot coyote and other small game with your bow with only an archery license.
If your on your own land you can hit small game without any license. But you still have to follow the other rules.
You just need a small game but depending where you are in Wisconsin they do have a coyote season in the far northern part of the state. In like the rest of the state where it is open year round. You can look at the small game regulations for in depth info Sent from my arrow using Mathews!
Based on the book on page ten towards the top (the way I read it is that I only need an archery license to shoot a coyote). I might be misinterpreting it though. I will check with the DNR then get back to everyone.
No. Not the DNR. They are not in charge of such laws. Only the legislature can change the law. The DNR can ask and recommend such a law change but they cant change statute.
