Want to know what guys are using for mineral licks. I've tried a few different kind of mineral blocks but deer don't seem to hit them that often. What are you guys using to really works well.

I use MonsterRaxx minerals. It is a great product and has all the good stuff that the deer need and it is only 14-16% salt! I have noticed a huge difference in my deer herds health since I have been using it. You can check them out at MonsterRaxx.com.

I've started using Monster Raxx this year as well. My son and I are heading to the cabin here in a few minutes to check our new mineral sites, check trail cams and maybe start a couple more spots.

Not legal in my part of Wisconsin but I may give it a go for the first time where it is legal in Langlade County, Wisconsin.

I found some mineral salt in the bag type that works well i dig up the soil about four inches deep 3'x5' mix in 2 50 lb bags and then pored 2 bags of corn to get it started.
Also i dont see deer around them much as far as hunting goes deer seem to hit them hard late spring and summer then leave them along during the season, legal in my state.
    Best of luck,

Dont get me wrong, It might be a great product but $13 for 5 pounds is a little pricey for me.

Put Monsterraxx out and put a trail camera on it! You will become a believer real quick. The proof will be in the pictures! Just make sure you have a big enough card in it. That's no joke!

Our secret by us is the use of minerals with selenium, which is basically dry cow mix. Since we keep the does around all year round this seems to help them have big healthy fawns. And it's cheaper than the deer-specified fancy minerals. Fleet Farm or feed stores should carry it
