Nope, split em up. I have no problem with that. Btw... I'm very offended by you and cried a little over it. ;-)
Honestly...those of you in such opposition of crossbows, I desire to ask you a question. If you are against them because you don't view them as a correct step forward or a way to better hunting in general then are you doing any of the following? The following have A MUCH LARGER IMPACT IN A NEGATIVE WAY ON HUNTING THAN CROSSBOWS EVER WILL: -Do you confront or at least use DNR tip lines when suspected or known illegal poaching of animals occurs? -Do you confront or at least use DNR tip lines when suspected or known illegal tag sharing occurs? -Do you confront or at least use DNR tip lines when suspected or known illegal baiting occurs? -Do you confront or at least use DNR tip lines when suspected or known illegal night hunting occurs? -Do you confront or at least use DNR tip lines when suspected or known illegal/improper license usage occurs? -Do you confront or at least use DNR tip lines when suspected or known illegal trespassing occurs? These are much larger problems in the hunting world which many turn a blind eye to. Sorry but the weapon men/women/children choose to take into the woods each year is nothing to worry about when it comes to the integrity of the sport you love....how about worrying about the true issues in hunting and that is all the improper and illegal things which occur yearly and TOO MANY HUNTERS TURN A BLIND EYE TO THEM! You wanna focus on crossbows like they're the issue, sorry fellas in the world of hunting the issue of what people are going to legally hunt with is a non-issue by comparison.
Here is a link to how it affected Pennsylvania. A lot of people on here have said that it didnt make any difference in their state when crossbows were legalized but nobody posted anything to back up their statements. Before everyone gets all fired up I am just posting this for everyone's information. I just thought it was informative and there are good points for and against both sides. Take it however you want. Happy Thursday everyone! Some fret about high crossbow harvest - Outdoor News - October 2013
So what? They're the weapons I want to hunt with..... it's my choice. The weapon I choose to use doesn't really affect you does it?
I like the grenade idea. Much easier and less time consuming. Kill a deer and make burger all in one. Sweet idea.

You're smarter than that.
Numbers can be very deceiving things, especially when you only look at a small sample size. His article takes a look at deer harvest since crossbows were made legal in PA and yes, they have gone up. However they are still far below PA's all time high which happened well before crossbows were made legal. Despite all of the dreaded crossbow hunters in the woods overall harvest numbers remain far below their peak of over 500K whitetails in both 2000 and 2002. In fact, overall deer harvest decreased the first year the crossbow hunters flooded the woods. But hey, numbers can be twisted to make them do whatever you want them to. I put more stock in the PA hunters on this forum who have said in their personal experiences not much has changed.
Dan Dan Dan Dan Dan Dan Dan ........................................................................Dan Dan Dan Yes, really. I'm just smart enough to know that there are at least 2 different opinions on this issue and that no amount of discussion is going to change anyones mind. It's funny that those who are for the Xbows are saying that those who are against them are trying to force their views on them. Have you noticed that the view forcing is working both ways? At least I was smart enough to notice that.
I think the way some of these guys have been shooting and not finding deer this year they probably need a crossbow. Wanted to fan the fire a little and keep the count high.
Forcing views? How about explaining a viewpoint with reason and logic, not some fantasy about grenades and RPGs. Really Greg, I have met you personally and know for a fact that you're smarter than that.
Dan the troll is coming out of you again. The logic is some people believe crossbow and bowhunting seasons should be alligned and some do not. There is no right or wrong. The states vary. Some allow it and some do not.
Believe me, I'm not trolling here. If I had used logic like hand grenades and RPGs, then I would have been trolling.
I think it is fine to use a crossbow as long as it is legal. You will never get the same respect harvesting a deer with a crossbow as you get when you harvest one with a bow. I can't wait when someone posts a big buck they killed with a crossbow and someone posts that they cheated like when someone posts a rifle kill. I recognize some are not built to handle all that bowhunting offers and need a crutch. We see that all the time in our society these days. :D More hits.
PA had more deer in 2000 and 2002 and have been on a kill fest to thin them since. You can't use that for an example as it has no bearing on anything other then they were a lot more deer back then for hunters to kill. There were a lot more bow kills in the period too then there are now which still has no bearing on " now " with crossbows. You are using the numbers to twist your point. Cheater !!
Isn't that the truth. The same could be said about baiting and mechanical broadheads. Times have changed from 5 years ago. I blame Dan !!! Tim
I never cheated - I just said numbers can be deceptive based on how the author spins them. With that said, I still put more stock in people's firsthand experiences than I do numbers provided by any government institution.
