Gun season is less then a week away, rifles are dialed in. Now the biggest question is what snacks are in you pack? Personally peanut m&ms are a favorite for me. What are you bringing?
I am making pulled BBQ venison with beans, coleslaw, and fresh cut fries. I am also making a field lunch between drives venison hot dogs and beer cheese wild rice soup. I am the camp caterer I don't buy a tag anymore, love preparing Minnesota venison for the Wisconsin lads.
Dam that sounds amazing. We boat in to our cabin cook suppers as a group, but breakfast, lunch, and snacks you pack in. Saturday night is usually inner loins, unless we are having a bad year. I wasn't assigned a dinner this year, last year i grilled pork chops on the grill for everyone. This year i'm bring aged cheddar, pepper jack, with crackers for everyone to munch on. I'm very jacked up this year for the season.
Lemon drops, sunflower seeds, trail mix, white frosted pretzels, peanuts. Then lots of goodies for Bloody Mary's later.
Peanutbutter Snickers and some hard candies. Lunch will be homemade soups, Beef Vegetable, Ham and Potato, and Posole.
I went to Menards today and made my own trail mix with hot and spicy peanuts, bacon and smoke almonds, and some pecans.
