Thats great growth for just a month. Adding much for fertilizer or just optimal growing conditions and fertil soil?

Covey, Any truth to this potential root fungus with turnips planted every year? I've done this for 15 years and no problems so far. I thought You would know about this. Thx

Do you do any kind of summer/spring seeding...typically the fungus occurs only if nothing but root brassicas are planted without anything else. I have heard of guys never experiencing it while others after just 3 years.

I don't have any experience with it personally, I have read some about it just never have known of it to happen in my plots. Then again I rotate my plots and plot species around from year to year. Most of the diseases and even bugs are a problem purely from stacking the same crop on the same soil year after year. Pumpkins are a good example...I don't care how "resistant" any particular strain of pumpkin is, if they are planted in the same field for more than three years, powdery mildew will become a problem (which is a fungus also). Same with corn, beans, etc, etc..

BTW, starting to see a lot of bucks in all of my fields now!
