To those stating you will continue, have been or won't change anything based on changing game laws READ THE FOLLOWING:

It is your American and God given right to have an opinion, which is something I will defend for every single person. HOWEVER merely believing something to be right doesn't make it right nor legal to ignore laws set before you. This sport is so rampant with illegal harvests, illegal techniques, trespassing and the like....you will merely be joining the ranks of the reasons (those type of hunters) people are against hunting. By disrespecting the laws set before you by blatantly disregarding them is offensive and down right wrong to do to your fellow hunters, your offspring if you have some and your parents which hopefully raised a better child than one to be a knowing criminal.

Disagree with the laws set before you? Write, protest and make your voice heard...however going against them is the absolutely wrong way to go with this. No baiting or minerals sucks, 100% agree with you; but they are doing it in an effort to minimize disease...you feel that is bogus prove it to them, because obviously they don't feel the same way.

I pray you wise up to the ignorant approach to such law changes and take the proper approaches...and if you choose to break the laws knowingly, may God be with you as you attempt to justify your actions to the DNR, a judge, your family...

See first line in my sig....it is more true than any statement I have ever said about hunting.

True, unless it is under 2 gallons & 50yards or less from your occupied residence....then it is feeding.

That is not true. At one time you could put as much bait/feed you wanted any day, anywhere. Then it went to 10 gallon maximum, any day of the year, anywhere. Then it went to 2 gallons, during seasons and restrictions on locations.

To ME, I think (& wish) if they ban baiting they need to ban ALL feeding, next to your house or not. Let the deer go back to actually looking for food. Hunting would be much better if the deer could not just wait to dark and go to the neighbors corn pile for dinner.

You forgot to add that the house needs to be at least 100 yards off any road with a posted speed limit of 45 mph and this is counties where baiting is allowed.

I'm not a WI resident, so my opinions really don't matter. Whether you like their methods or not, they are trying to do what they can to protect the herd from the spread of CWD. CWD is spread by deer to deer contact, but it does not die out in open air like a lot of other diseases. Therefor, it doesn't actually take deer touching each other to spread. It can be spread by two or more deer going to the same spot and catching it off the bait or the ground. By not allowing baiting, this at least helps the odds that the deer are not feeding in the exact same spot. Same thing with minerals. I personally would rather deal with laws that prohibit me from baiting and using mineral sites than I would for my hunting area to be destroyed by CWD.

" didnt want their neighbors who didnt have the means to put food plots in attracting "their" deer."
    Means? How about lazy.
Any claim that foodplots cost too much is lame. A bag of corn=$18 I plant 1/2lb. of pumpkin seed with an $8 hoe in 2 hours that produces 10 tons of pumpkins and cost less then a bag of corn. 8 seeds/podx270 pods. Yep, there's about 2,200 seeds in a half pound. White clover seed is $2.99/lb. and lasts 5 years. I have adjacent farmers who won't spare an acre for a foodplot or leave corn standing.

I'm agreeing. for sure. I'd rather hunt the mountains than some tree on the edge of a corn field. I would do it tho. Because I would still rather be in a tree next to a corn field than under someone's sink with a wrench in my hand.

Haha ok I thought u was agreeing, and I myself to would take bein in a tree wherever! With that said it wouldn't be over or around a bait pile or mineral site. People can bull up and pout all they want but lettem do what they do and when cwd hits they can point fingers all they want but inside they will have learned a lesson.

AND AMONG THAT. SITTIN OVER PILES OF CORN CARROTS OR WHATEVER ELSE THEY USE IS NOT HUNTIN. So I guess ued call them cheaters?

I am not a baiting fan myself...but any legal form of harvesting deer is hunting deer...that cannot be argued. Now our opinions against it is fine and dandy and I feel there are justified reasons for being against it. However, be careful stating it isn't hunting.

I am not going to argue with you. I 100% don't bait, have no desire to...however if legal I ain't gonna come down on fellas who do it. Do I possibly not look at them as accomplished hunters to the same degree, sure...but if legally harvesting deer I am a supporter of that.

Yup I get it. My bad. No offense intended. Just a statement of preference.
