Slow down turbo. Its not his dad, its his F.I.L. Read what was posted. I wrote:

"Glad to see your state allows the elderly and handicapped to use a crossbow while bowhunting is taking place. I think that's fair to allow crossbowing for that user group."

His state allows the elderly (those over 70 and his F.I.L. is 75) to hunt with a crossbow while bowhuning is going on. Don't go so far out of your way to pretend to be offended.

Yeah it makes it super easy for an 82 year old to power up the weapon well in advance. The crossbow he is getting for his birthday is 175 lbs so there is no way he could do anything with that so the crank was the answer.

I belong to the Professional Crossbow Hunter Society. We are by far the most elite group of bowhunters out there. Our group is so elite you have not heard of it before.

The first rule of Professional Crossbow Hunter Society is you don't talk about the Professional Crossbow Hunter Society. :biggun:

Everything has to include/revolve around politics. I hate it.

Hunting and fishing laws are of your states legislature and statute. Its unavoidable. Laws are made by legislators (politicians) as part of the political process.

Some of us actually follow the laws and are not convicted poachers.

This story is a prime example of why anybody that enjoys deer hunting shouldn't ever take Durkin seriously. It's like watching CNN to get your political news you are never going to know the full story. Durkins clear hatred for Republican clouds his ability to draw a conclusion that could actually help instead he just points his fingers and says bad republicans. What an asshat

I can pass that along to him if you like but this thread is about the very law that was just signed by the Governor. Its the conclusion of the story this thread is about. The story in the first post begged the governor to veto the bill, The story I linked informs those that he did not veto but instead signed the bill. Why let it upset you?

    FYI, I don't own a BB gun.

That's why is boggles the mind that this web site would harm its image by affiliating itself with an Uber lib like Durkin and give him a voice.

This is huge. We might not have to worry about crawling into Grandpa's baited stands and getting pinched anymore. Where's my rifle!?

Was referring to the forums. Every topic/thread I go into is full of political jargon it seems like.

Edit: This was my 5,000th post.

There has to be more to the story on why you dislike Durkin so much though. Tell us the rest of the story Rancid because this sounds personal. And don't say its because he's and "uber liberal" because there are a lot of people who have a lot of his same opinions who are not. Let it out big fella.

Also maybe this website wants to get different sides to certain stories when it pertains to hunting and subjects like this. If you don't like it there's always AT.

Rancid is my dad, if you want I can pass your message along to him. My beef with Durkin is like that of the rest of the WI hunting community that views him as a laughing stock, anti Walker, Anti Republican that wouldn't know CWD from UPS but uses it as a vehicle to bas conservatives.

My dad might have his reasons for thinking durkin's stories are also proven pouting and BS but I'm guessing you were talking about the story durkin wrote about my dad's deer feeding citation a half decade ago.
