So, the farmer that leases out some of my in-laws land planted winter wheat after he harvested the soy bean crop and I was just wondering what the word on winter wheat is? When will it be harvested and will the deer like it as a late fall/ winter food source. By the way my stand is about 100 yards away and I've already put my cam over a huge scrape I found in the wheat field. Pulling it Friday will keep y'all updated. Thanks for any replies.
They'll munch on it as it grows. It usually isn't harvested until the spring. Some folks plant it for a late season food plot.
