With less than a week remaining in the WI Bow season, the 5-10 inches of snow forecasted might be just what I need to fill a tag. I was thinking really hard about taking tomorrow off to get out after the brunt of the snow has passed, but decided to just hit it hard this weekend. Should be enough snow to make the deer move more.

Good luck man. I'm in St Louis area across the river in illinois. We are having some serious rain. But all that nasty up north has finally pushed some good numbers of ducks down. Can't hunt till Thurs but it'll be 4 days straight of Goin after ducks and bucks..... or does

Got about 7 inches, probably a good idea not to take a vacation day. Never would have been able to convince the wife to give up the 4WD for the day so I could make it out to the stand. Since this is the first year hunting this open land, I have been making the best guess on where to setup. Put the stand up not even two weeks ago, and have deer on camera and seen them so it appears to be a decent spot. All this snow will give me a better idea of where they are moving for next year also.

Will need to remember one of the sleds to either drag the deer or. Or my stand Sunday night once the season is over. So much better than trying to pack it tight to carry it out.

We got around 8" Saturday and another 2" out of the storm last night. They predicted we'd get from 8-11" last night.

Made it out this afternoon. As I was hoping, tracks all over the place. But doesn't appear to be any trails used repeatedly. they are just crisscrossing where ever they want. Camera images do show that a pair of does have been coming through every other day. If they keep to form, they should be around tomorrow.

What I did learn is that I think I need a pair of show shoes. Was some rough walking.

If it's hard walking for you, it's hard for the deer too.
    Watch a good food source.

Too much snow isn't good. Imo, since there isn't much time left in your season I'd get in tight to a bedding area.
