The son and I just spent 5 hours shoveling and running the snowblower. I had the 5'-6' drifts in the driveway and my snowblower isn't that big, LOL. My whole body aches ! The nasty thing about this is that the plow has only gone thru once so far, just to make a path in case for emergency equipment if need be. When he goes thru to do some cleanup, I am going to end up with about 4' piles of snow at the end of the drive again ! Grrrrrrrrr.
My driveway was chest deep in many spots. I'm too lazy to take and post pics. I think everyone gets the general idea. But now that the snow is done, we just got put under a wind chill advisory. -20 to -30 degree windchill tonight. Sweet!!!
my girl wanted to get in on the action for a few mins, she thought it was really cool  and me ready for snowblowin!!!
I add my story to this winter wonderland. Last night I started plowing about 11. I saw more stupid people in the hour drive to work then I have all year. No lights on,running red lights, stopped in the middle of the freeway in a spot there was no snow. I had to plow every couple of hours at work because of the wind blowing it in my dock area. Every time I would plow there was 2 feet drifted up. The I took the ride home to plow my driveway,45 minutes later I was done, my driveway is only 120' long. I think the road crew did a great job.
If you all remember, we (Buffalo) got hammered with 42" of snow not that long ago ..... I FEEL your pain...
Pics.. Fantoon when the blizzard started. Chicken hoop house a couple hours into the blizzard. I had tried to winterize it with tarps and plywood. This is what the inside of the coop ended up looking like. (I put the chickens in dog crates in the garage) Our driveway partial dug out. In typical windswept flatland style, parts of the yard have no snow, other parts have big 8 foot drifts.
Wow, you got hit hard. That's the kinda stuff they had predicted for us. They missed it by ( ) that much. Hopefully you get a little warm weather and some sunshine soon.
Went down to the Lakefront today and took this Video, it calmed down a bit...the mountains of ice weren't there yesterday...this is Bradford Beach!
Today was 'dig a dog moat day'. There is so much snow in the backyard that the dog could just walk out of her 50 x 30 fenced in area. I don't think she'll try to jump the moat. (crosses fingers..) I'm sooooo ready for Spring!!
Wow Christine! That looks like us last year when we had two, 25+ inch snowstorms hit us in two weeks. The girls and I after the first storm last year....
Kids Grade school still snowed in. Today about 3pm my oldest son Dylan decided he was going to send Cole/Frog_slayer (On this site) for a ride. . LOL Entrance is to the right on this pic and of course no school until Monday.
