I'll most likely just throw on an additional layer both top and bottom and go for broke. All I know is that it was freakin' COLD out there this morning! My truck said 2* when I left for work, which is plenty cold enough for this guy.

Other than bundling up nice and tight in my Gray Wolf Woolens gear, I'll have my Predator Fleece bowhunting.com hat on, a fleece neck gaitor/facemask of some sort, fleece Manzella gloves w/handwarmers, and my 1,000 gram Lacrosse Broadside boots.

One thing I can't recommend enough for cold weather to keep your feet warm are the ThermalFeet boot warmers. These things ROCK. They're basically a big booty with a small pocket on the inside to hold a disposable handwarmer. You get to your stand, slip a warmer into the pocket, slip the booty over your boot, and it keeps your toes toasty warm for a few hours. I've warn them in single digit temps the past two seasons and not gotten cold feet. For $30 I think they're the best piece of cold weather gear you can buy. :tu:

    A big booty. heh heh

I may need to buy a set of those. I've been tossing a hand warmer in my boots but it kind of squishes my toes. Squished toes really start to hurt about eight hours into the hunt. :(

I wonder if the smaller size will fit my boots?

I'm sure it will, they're pretty tiny. And I used to do the handwarmer in the boot thing too, but that sucks. I looked like a gimp trying to get around on those things. No more!

Ever use the sticky ones that you can put under your toes? I've heard they work fairly well but have never tried it myself. My feel are usually the thing that hinders me the most when bowhunting late season. I know I need to invest in new boots for sure.

I've used the sticky ones. They don't squish your toes as bad but they don't seem as warm either. I've heard if you have sweaty feet they fizz out really fast. Moisture is the killer of those hand warmer/foot warmers.

The thermalfeet are sounding better all the time.
