Didn't get much hunting done this Fall. Only got out a couple of times. We'll be pretty busy this Winter and Spring also. I have to finish my dissertation so I qualify for that job. Finishing is not in doubt, but no room to slack off either. My husband has been busier than usual also. We're looking forward to Summer. Hoping to spend lots of time up North. Looking forward to getting my very first paycheck ever this coming Fall.

Maybe we'll get lucky and get a bear permit in a couple years.

We should get some good fishing in this Summer.

I will probably lay around get fatter while doing nothing. Then I will probably ***** about laying around getting fat and doing nothing. I will probably work in several naps along the way as well.

Downtime? What is that? Must be similar to "free time" lol. I'll be doing my normal routine. Scouting, habitat improvement and food plot planning, pulling all my stands and checking them over, camo spray painting them all and then into storage, shed hunting, then start of fishing and turkey hunting season. Next thing I know it'll be time to put the stands back up! Not to mention I have to do all the stuff in the spring with a 6 month old boy on my back. Lol.

    Scouting for next year.
The woods will still look very similar what next years mid/late season will look like.
Rubs and scraps will still be relatively fresh and easy to spot.

    AND.... Trail Cams!!!

I have a mile long honey-do list that's been going on for years LOL! When I can weasel my way out of it I might go ice fishing. As for whitetails and our property in Ohio we will continually make trips down soon to start scouting, look for sheds, check trial cams, freshen mineral sites, etc. and basically prepare for summer and next deer season. I never stop thinking about things I want to do down there as whitetails are year round in my mind. Once the snow is gone and before green-up that is the best time to learn more about your property and how deer move through it, where they scraped and rubbed this past year, where they tend to bed, etc..

Oh that's the truth. We figured out last year's costs...it could have been the down payment on our house. We don't win a lot of money, not even enough to cover costs, but it's fun.
