I'm going to get a new string for my Mathews Drenalin in the next few weeks. Should I get Winner's Choice, Zebra Twist (what's on there now), or G5's Metrao string and cable?

I've been leaning towards the Metrao, but I'm still open to suggestions.

i got a new string for my outback before this season and just had them put the zebra back on, i didn't have any problems with it and it's what mathews puts on thier bows, unless it's changed. but i don't think it makes too much of a difference as long as they put it on correctly and everything in the right place, good luck whatever you decide

The last thing I would put on is the Zebra. They're terrible for elongation and serving separation. I like what I'm reading on the Matraeo strings but haven't tried them. They are made out of top notch material and the spec.'s look impressive. You can't go wrong with Winner's Choice either but I think they're a bit overpriced.

This is pretty much what I've found to the T. I think I'm going to try the Metrao.

Write us a review once you get them shot in. I'll be interested to hear what you find.

I don't know if I could bring myself to put a Zebra string on one of my worst enemy's bows.

I've got to do it to/for a friend tonight. He went out and bought them for his Mathews DXT but doesn't have a press. I was pretty disappointed when he told me the bad news. He even paid Matrao prices for them... :( I'm a little nauseated just thinking about it.

I vote for none of the above. I prefer Bucknasty(Giblett)strings and cables.

Yep, Vapor Trail makes an awesome string as well. Plus, they've got a REALLY cool color-selector chart on their website to tell you what your string will look like when you combine the two colors of your choice.

I just put a winners on my Trykon about 6 weeks ago. Serving is holding up great and am really liking it so far. I got black cables with a purple/ flow green with a touch of black string and it looks killer!
