I was researching different types of base layers today and came across some that claimed to be windproof; they're normally used by motorcycle riders. Has anyone used something like this in a hunting scenario? If not, can you see any negatives to using them? https://www.amazon.com/Gore-Bike-Wear-Windstopper-Turtleneck/dp/B00B35U54W/
negatives ? all I see are negatives. looks like a sweat box in the making with any type of physical Exertion .....
That was my first thought, but after searching reviews on a number of the windproof baselayers, I couldn't find any complaints about them not being breathable. Granted, I don't think riding a motorcycle is the most strenuous of physical activities, but that's what led me to thinking they might be good for sitting in a treestand.
Windproof outer layer. Kinda defeats the purpose being a baselayer Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
I wonder if they would allow you to wear less outer layers on the colder days. Not brutal cold or anything, just cold and windy days.
