Windproof base layers

    negatives ? all I see are negatives. looks like a sweat box in the making with any type of physical Exertion .....

    That was my first thought, but after searching reviews on a number of the windproof baselayers, I couldn't find any complaints about them not being breathable. Granted, I don't think riding a motorcycle is the most strenuous of physical activities, but that's what led me to thinking they might be good for sitting in a treestand.

    Windproof outer layer. Kinda defeats the purpose being a baselayer

    I wonder if they would allow you to wear less outer layers on the colder days. Not brutal cold or anything, just cold and windy days.
