Newer to bow hunting guys. One question i need answered is this.... If im in my treestand and the wind is blowing out of the north, which way is the right direction to sit, (wind in my face, back to wind?) assuming i can sit in any direction. I had a guy tell me i should ALWAYS have my back to the wind? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Such a vague question and depends entirely on the situation.

Do you have a picture of the property/area you are hunting?

If you could describe the area or post pics it would help, depends on the route the deer are more frequently coming in, as of my experience this weekend id be back to the wind going past you, that way if your using scent bombs and the frequently travel in that direction theyll be right in front of you.

The more relevant question is where do you expect the deer to be coming from and what is the direction of the wind in relation to where you are expecting them to be. You don't want to be between the wind and the deer, so basically you want to be downwind of the deer. So, basic answer would be that wind in your face if you expect the deer to be North of you with a wind out of the North. You don't want you scent blowing into the deer.

You should be downwind of where deer will be coming from or just slightly off to the side where the deer still have the wind in their favor.

But also don't forget about how thermals work in the area you'll be hunting.
