Now that the limbs are tillered and the weight checked it's time to move on.

First the antler to save time later on and a lot of sanding I bevel the antler on the belt sander.

Now it's time to move onto the Ossage.

I cut these ones a little too thick so I have to sand them down.

Then using a block of wood for support bevel one end once again to save a little time and sanding later.

I try and get the beveled ends paper thin.

Once we have that done it's time to shape the tips so using a French curve to get the radius.

Then it's back over to the belt sander and very carefull grind to the lines, no point in trying to take a lot of material off at this stage, slow and steady wins the race.

Cut the tape and peel back exposing the glass and with some sand paper rough the glass up on both tip and butt.

Mix up some epoxy you dont need a lot so just a little amount.

Apply the epoxy once again to all adjoining surfaces place them into place and secure with spring clamps.

Then pop into the heat box for a couple of hours.

    Ok another update.

Just got to drill the hole in 1 limb file the string grooves taper the butt ends and start sanding them back for the first coat of finish.

    Russell,

They're looking good mate. I like the caribou tips also...

Any string color as long as it's not pink... Dave would hate me for cutting in on his favorite color. LOL...

    Will.

Did you get my text message?

I put the limbs on my riser to serve the string and drew her back.

Almost blew the ole poofer valve:eek:

She pulls nice and smooth but gawd you know the weight is there and I only drew them back to my draw of 27":D
