Just wanted to know if you have ever had a clean miss on a deer and they came back to your stand soon after. I missed a doe last year and set for 2 more hours without seeing anything else.

Has anyone ever had the deer come back, if so was it a buck or doe and was it a mature one do you think? Also how long before they came back.

If its a clean miss I have seen them loop around down wind and work their way back down to you. Just depends on the situation.

lol, i had 3 chances at the same doe. opening day after shooting my bow all summer to amazing consistency I am out the first day take a shot at a doe at about fifteen yards, MISS! Right over her back (She jumps and runs about 10 yards to the right.) 2nd shot, MISS! over her back again(didn't even jump this time). Checked my rest and I had bumped it pretty hard on something to loosen it I guess. After straightening up my rest, the third shot double lung and she drops about 10 yards from where she was standing. I'm pretty sure that doe had down syndrome or something or that was the luckiest day of my life because that does NOT happen often.

All depends on how they heard the noise.. I have missed and had them tear off for the next county.. And then I have missed, and they took 2 bounds, sniffed the air, kept feeding and gave me another shot..
