Going out for an all day hunt tomorrow morning. It's been raining since 3pm here and it's supposed to be done at 1am. Hunting an open grass field in the middle if the woods. Will they be moving? Temp is supposed to get around 60. The blue in the pic is a creek [IMG]

I'd say it'll be as good of a time as any. Rain has probably had them hunkered down today, so they'll be ready to move in the morning.

if we say yes, and you don't see one, you wont like us. either way, if you are not in the woods, they will not be there. if a tree falls and no one is there does it make a sound? if the deer move and you aren't there to see/shoot them did they really move in the area of your stand? can't shoot them in front of the TV. get out there and hunt!!

    Yup.

You have to remember, it's the beginning of October. Quality deer encounters are tough this time of year for even the best hunters. If this is your best setup or your burning a vacation day to do this sit, you may want to hold off until the rut gets rolling.
