LBG, it appears that have since updated the data in recent years. The maximum ratio biologists state is 5:1, although it is rare for it to be higher than 3:1. http://www.whitetailstewards.com/articlesonsite/deerpopulationmanage/understandingdeersexratios.htm
Its all good i was just wondering what your reasoning was for that i was guessing on my ratio i could be 100 percent wrong on that ratio. I'm just a young guy trying to learn from the best ;-)
No worries...doe:buck ratios are over-exaggerated, all the time. Most people base it on what they see while in the woods, or in a field in the evening. It can appear much worse than 3:1...especially in the winter. There is also a big difference between 3:1 and 2:1 when it comes to a deer herd.
