A buddy of mine just got a string loop and was told they can increase your range? Wondering if there is any truth to that? I don't know if he means like from 30yds. to 40yds that his bow will shoot flatter, or if he means he will be more accurate now, or maybe that his arrow will have more energy? Maybe you guys can help me understand. I don't shoot one, and probably never will.

    Thank you.

ive heard that you shoot more accurate with one on. because your pulling back on both sides of the arrow instead of having the arrow cocked on the nock, because your only pulling back below the arrow without one on. so you will get better flight because of the angle at the point of release. its a very cheap way for more accuracy

Less nock pinch, less serving wear, but not sure where you buddy gets it extending your range.

I agree with Ben above. The loop will cause less nock pinch and serving wear. Less nock pinch will also allow for increased accuracy. As far as extending range, not so much.

If anything you may lose range because you might have to reduce your DL a little bit due to the added length of the D loop.

No, makes no difference for range or powerstroke.
