So is this stuff any good? Honestly? I'm looking at a rangefinder and some new cams. Wildgame stuff is obviously much cheaper, but is it any good. I'm pretty hard on my gear and am willing to spend more money to get good gear. For example: Rangfinder: Nikon archer's choice vs. WGI Halo Cam: Moultrie M80 vs. WGI Equivalent
On the rangefinder I would go with the NIKON I have the halo works ok but seems like it turns on in my pocket or pouch all the time and go threw a battery a year if not two at 5 dollars a battery other then that it works ok but u get what u pay for
I looked into the halo, also. I think I saw somewhere that Remington makes it. I would like a rangefinder but I have a load of other things that are more of a priority right now.
Reference to the cams, I have 8 of them out in the woods and have had them for many years... 2 of them had issues, and sent them back to WildGame Innovations.. I was sent 2 of the next and newest models back.. Love the customer service... I have the IR4's... One IR2.. The IR2 just does not have the pixil's that I want in a picture.. Meaning when I zoom in on the deer, it gets all fuzzy.. The IR4's are great !!!! The IR8 (8gb)are almost the same price as the IR4's.... Some have had bad luck with them, and I hate to hear that, but they have been awsome for me. They are in Georgia and hold up well with the cold and heat there.... Just my experience with WildGame Innovations........
I have 5 of there x6c cams and for a $100 cam it is head and shoulders above some of my more expensive cams, great for a mineral site or scrape, but i will also say i have 2 of the s1.3 cams and they are not even worth putting battery's in or wasting a sd card on they last about a week and take about 10-15 pics and then the c-batts give up. about the same for a moultrie d40 cam a waste of money.
