Right before I hit the PA turnpike last night I saw a car from a distance make a weird move. It appeared to have driven across the grass median from the opposite direction and it was driving on the shoulder of the road going the wrong way....right at me! I slowed and the vehicle appeared to dim its lights for a second. At that time I noticed a state trooper running lights and sirens on the other side of the highway. The car then spun around and got behind a large truck when another state trooper came running lights and sirens on the other side of the highway. The did not know he had crossed over and was going the opposite way. I had been making good time on the 250 mile trip home and was about ready to turn on the toll road when I just said, screw it, I am going to follow that vehicle and call the police just in case. As soon as I slow down and rip back onto the road I lost sight of the vehicle. I picked it up and caught up to it in about a couple of minutes. I then called the local police who in turn routed me to the PA state police. I asked them if they were looking for a white vehicle in the area of the turnpike and they said yes, they were actively looking for that vehicle. Ut oh! I trailed the vehicle or about 15-20 minutes down a road I had never been on in my life until a trooper caught up to me and stopped the vehicle. I was then left to drive home having no idea what to do! I made my way home down through the mountains at top speed, dodging the hordes of Maryland deer, and trying to make up for lost time. The kicker.....I was pulled over by a Maryland trooper for speeding! What a night.
Haha, I didn't see the getting pulled over part coming. That's a rough ending:D Pretty cool experience, though.
There is scientific proof that earthquakes are caused by Chuck Norris doing push ups. I spoke to him on two occasions, (was a student at a Norfolk Norris dojo) very personable and funny guy.
crazy!! you definitely see a lot of crazy stuff in the middle of the night!! I'll be doin a 21 hour drive Friday night at midnight to my week long Illinois hunt! hopefully I don't have any crazy action like that!!
The last two to three weeks on duty have been crazy as well. Heck, in one four day stretch about three weeks ago this happened....day 1: Caught three juveniles who had just tried to rob someone. All three were put behind bars and are looking at years. day 2: Was driving around my beat area and saw a wanted subject, who we all wanted to arrest, step out of a taxi cab...took him into custody. Day 3: I see some weirdos hanging around playground and one starts acting suspicious so I move in...he puts a loaded 9mm handgun under a car and runs away. The firearm was stolen. day 4: 4 guys are sitting in a vehicle....mark out with them and it turns out the car they are in is stolen, as is the one in front of them they stole as well. Three of them are wanted for robbery as well. Two bailed and I made short chase before my friend came on scene and got two of them. We tracked the other one to a house with the K-9 and took him into custody. One is still at large and he is my nemesis. I will get him when I get back to work. CCCCCCccccrazy.
You.are.the.man I don't know how that job is done on a daily basis. Just approaching shady people one time would have me unnerved. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S4.
