I was wonderin' if anyone here works for WGI. I got a trail cam(micro 6mp) for christmas and I've had nothing but problems with it since I've had it. I've tried calling WGI, leaving voicemails, and wrote them online and I still haven't heard anything from them. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
Yeah i've had problems with there cameras as well. but you get what you pay for. obviously yours was a gift. but it just seems to me that they took the cheap approach to cameras. make as many as you can for as cheap as you can and sell them cheaper than anyone else, and yes it worked on me. sometimes i stop and think, no i wont pay 500 bucks for a camera to hang on a tree for anyone to steal, thus leaving me with a few junk cameras that work every so often. conditions have to be not too cool or not too warm and mine work great. I'm going to try moultrie next. any thoughts on the new M-80 black???
I've had good experience with thier customer service but it is also now the busiest time of the year - they definitely have quality control issues with huge batches of cams being sold that are defective out of the box...that being said I have been happy with the performance of the updated(replaced) w6x models I got(all manufactured after august 2011). As for the moultrie, this> http://www.chasingame.com/index.php?id=250 forgot to add - I don't expect too much out of the chinese made commercial cams and mine are for where I'd expect they may get stolen or damaged by ne'er-do-wells(2-leggers or 4-leggers)
The micro series seems to be good and bad,I have one of the 8 micro takes great video but lots of whiteouts in pic mode. good trigger and sensor, decent batt life you might try a set of lithium batterys it it the higher voltage may help you cam some, also try a new sd card in it mine works best with a 2-4 gb card sandisk brand for whatever reason. I wish wgi would have fixed the few problems with the x6c lineup they had, just needed the faster trigger of there new cams and burst and they could of had something. I dont understand the direction the company seems to jump around in the cam lineup with tons of new cams without just making three cams that kick some arse. Best of luck to you. check out the dlc line of cams the mp6 is in everyone's price range and the flat out work.online 115.00
Haha I would've but it was a gift so you can't turn down a free trail cam. It just sucks that its messing up on me during the most important time of the year!
I have the same problems with the white out pictures. I did buy new sd cards to see if that was the problem but I continued to have problems. It also will take like 1,500 pictures in a row of absolutely nothing. It'll keep taking a picture every 30 seconds until it fills its self up. Not sure why it does this.
Same experience here with the first cam I bought from them...lucky for me I called and they let me send it back free of charge and they sent me one of their newer ones back and it has made me very happy!
I've found them helpful. "Please call (800) 847-8269 for an RMA number so we can send you a replacement."
After my N8D was out for 10 months, it got wet inside somehow and the buttons wouldnt work, so all it was is a paper weight. I caled and sent it out that day. They verified it was broke and sent me a brand new one in package no issues, no questions asked. Very happy with the quality of pictures and videos. There customer service in my opinion is second to none. Very pleased with WGI!
Well they're customer service should be that good with as many things you hear go wrong with the cameras.
I also neglected to say that I didnt check it for about 7 months and the straps must've rotted or a squirrel chewed through them because it was laying on the ground when i went to check it. You cant make all electronics water proof. All I was saying is atleast they stand by theyre product and warranty.
