My father has told me that shooting from a tree stand you need to aim about two to three inches lower than normal. How much sense does this really make? Help!!!

You aim for where you want the arrow to exit. Hold low.

Gravity will have less of an effect on your arrow at any angle other than flat. The steeper the angle the higher you will shoot.

Your father is right. Also, if you were shooting up a steep hill you would also aim low.

This is only if you have sighted your bow in on a level grade. If you sighted in from a deck or tree stand then just aim where you want to hit.
