ok this isnt necessarily bowhunting related, but another thread got me thinking. what is the weirdest food that you have ever eaten?

for me it would prolly hafta be crow. but others iv eaten that some people would consider weird include: coon, gater, rattlesnake, snapping turtle, softshell turtle, hog balls, calf fry, and a kingfisher(i was young and dumb, i killed it and my dad made me eat it. roasted over a rich pine fire with no seasoning. yummy!).

Grilled Marinated Groundhog/Woodchuck wrapped in Bacon in Arkansas. Stuff was tasty and didn't get told what it was until I tasted it. They cooked it medium rare and served with a spicy BBQ sauce.

My father was also notorious for feeding me all kinds of stuff when he had me on weekends when I was little, he was poor and lived with his parents after the divorce so everything was fried by Granny. We ate Squirrel, anything he could kill that flew and other animals he won't mention!:hater: I think Coon was what he won't mention but will never know:(

I was at a Restaurant called Francesca's and the waiter told us it was on special. My wife dared me to eat it and then regretted not getting it once she tried it. Very tasty stuff, my whole family is now hooked, no pun intended;)

I ate live frogs last summer... I was about a 12 pack deep and started pulling them off the brick wall. I've also eaten lots of insects and worms.:d

Here is my ant video... the elk hunting was extremely slow.

We have El Faro around here which is a Mexican restaurant, those dude's will put anything they can into a Burrito and Cow Tongue is a normal menu item. Wonder if Justin ever gets buzzed and heads over to El Faro for a mystery meat burrito??????

Elk tongue cooked over an open fire in Wyoming on my first Elk Hunt. Not bad after you get past the thought of it.

    Teriyaki grasshoppers. Mmm..

    I love natto. (fermented soybeans)

Shiyokara.. which is raw squid, fermented in fish guts. Amazingly, it tastes just like squid fermented in fish guts. Bleagh.

Dozens of different kinds of raw things. Raw fishies, raw lobsters barely dead yet, raw land based critters. It's all good.

Beaver, 'coons, 'possum, muskrats, tongue, heart liver... That's just regular food there.

Justin thought my dried seaweed snack food smelled like butt but it's tasty. :)

BBQ coon (too greasy), pickled pigs feet (mmmmmmm) Was going to get to eat some rattlesnake but my friend that was trying to cook it didn't cut it up. Even though it had been frozen it started crawling around in the skillet when it hit the hot grease. My friend freaked out and wound spilling hot grease on himself as he was trying to throw it out. Oh yeah, I forgot the lamb fries!
