    Hi

I'm finding it difficult to make a decision for first bow.
Perhaps it won't be the last one but I'd like to have one for a while.

I've been searching allover the web to get "data" for decision making but there's just bits and pieces here and there.
I don't have all of these available for testing...actually only a few...

There's also a number of facts to consider axle to axle length, brace height, cams...
Isn't it so (in theory) that by picking a bow with a small axle to axle length and small brace height it makes shooting less accurate especially if you lack experience?

Does anyone know that which of these bows is most silent? Either while pulling string, releasing...
Which doesn't have vibration too much?
Which would you recommend for practicing but also for hunting purpose (hare, birds...)? Male, 5'9"

E: And yet a shorter bow could easier to handle in the field.Perhaps.

if your hunting in heavy cover, the shorter bow will be easier to handle yes... less accurate? depends.. the bow itself is just as accurate as any other, but the shorter ATA will make any flaws in form and release more apparent in missed shots...as for everything else... you can add limb and string silencers to get rid of noise, so bow to bow not a big issue... the most important thing about buying a bow is how does it feel to you... go to your bow shops and test fire the bows to see how they feel and handle to you personally.. (any decent shop with a range will let you).. the right bow will talk to you, "saying this is the one, buy me"... after that... practice practice practice (and if you can take a lesson or two, or have a pro to show ya, learn proper form and release first... easier then trying to fix bad habits later)

The best thing you can do is go shoot different bows and different brand bows. Only you will know what bow you like and what bow fits you the best. Compare what bows you liked or specs of the ones you liked. you will find out that you liked all the bows that were 80% let off or you might prefer a bow with 65%let off. Some guys like bows with solid back walls and some like bows that feel like it wants to take off (Generally speed bows)

For a hunting bow, I think most guys like a bow that is 75-85% let off and a solid back wall as you never know how long you will have to hold in some situations.

My previous bow was a shorter axle to axle bow and I shot ok with it. I since have gone to the Mathews new HTR and its a tad longer. I find that I shoot a lot better with the longer bow.

The shorter the brace height on a bow usually the faster the bow. You will be less accurate with a bow with a short brace height if you have form issues or do things inconsistently because the arrow is on the string a little longer than with a bow with a longer brace height. Generally speaking a short brace height is right around 6". A longer brace height is generally a little more forgiving

One bow not on your list with a lot of draw weight adjustment is the mission hype. I shot every bow I could get my hands on in my price range a couple months back and bought the hype dt. It just felt better than the others so I bought it. So I would say shoot as many as you can and find out what works for you.

Thanks! That's what I was thinking about that shorter ATA can make it "harder".

There's such an information overflow that I haven't had enough time to introduce myself to silencers.

I've been shooting with an old compound bow 30-40 lbs and also attended on a course and camp.
Instructor's advice was to get a wide range bow at first but then I ran into few 2nd hand bows with same or lower price and possibly better components.

And Mission Hype DT - this is something I must ask from the local retailer.
It is new for 2015 so I wonder if it is available?
