Im having a bowtech destroyer 340 i have used since it first came out. i feel its time for e new bow and i have narrowed in on these 4 bows that i think i would like for my next hunting bow. 1: bowtech insanity cpx 2: mathews monster mr6 3: pse dreamseason evo 4 pse xforce omen pro i havent tried any of them yet but iam looking for quality and speed and low vibration low noise, i need help to decide wich of these 4 bows you think have it all. (or allmost all) and if any dislikes of these bows best regards.
Get to a pro shop and shoot them all if you can. Go with whichever one you like the most. I love my Assassin and it shoots great. Everyone can tell you what they would do, just go with what you like the most.
Man, you can't ask a question like that on bowhunting.com lol. Thats like asking a guy which wife to marry. Personally I like bows with thin grips and a smooth draw. I choose PSE becasue they have all that and tuning marks. Tuning marks make it very easy to get set-up.
Everyone on here is going to tell you to shoot them and decide for yourself. and they are right, but I know thats not what you are asking haha. So I will try to answere you how I can. I myself own a Mathews MR6 and man Ill tell you, its a bada** bow buddy. I shoot the 80lb model myself, and its a power horse. Im shooting 28" draw. I currently am throwing 484g FMJs at 299fps...which is krazy good. over 96lbs of KE. I love the thing man. And I love Mathews products to death so that helps my opinion alot lol. But to also add to this, I have a close good friend who shoots the insanity and he loves his bow to death. I have no specs on it, but I know its also a great bow and a cold blooded killer as well. If Mathews disappeared tomorrow, its the bow I would buy. I know nothing to say on the pse because I dont shoot them and dont know anyone who does. But If you want my opinion, they are great bows also. I say the MR6, but thats just me brother!
there's a lot more to take into account about these bows that might help you make your decision. take a look at the ata and the weight of the bare bow and the brace heights, one is under 6" brace, the omen, do you want to wear an armguard or a sock to hold back your clothes possibly messing up the shot or getting pinched on the string stop? that kind of weight of the bow is important when your carrrying them a ways and youve got all the mods and cons on them. ive owned pse and ive also owned the insanity cpx, nice bow but id also let you know theres a lighter bow at 355fps its the apa mamba m6 with the cpx insanity, you might need an armguard but its a great bow, teeth shattering back wall and plenty of creep at the hold which can be needed in a tense hunting situation, depending on your draw lenght depends on how much valley. as for ata, do you want to hunt out of a tree stand or a ground blind, or even the cover of trees? then the longer ata might be the difference between getting caught on something or not...just a few extra thoughts for ya, hope it helps
Great advice. Compare the specs on all the bows and see which ones are going to benefit you in a hunting situation, plus go out and shoot them yourself because there's gonna be people that sware by each of those brands. Whatever benefits you most and shoots the best to you is what you need to get.
thanks for the inputs , i will do some more investigation on the bows , i think it will help a lot to hold them in my hands also.
